Happy 8th Anniversary to Mike and me! We went to San Francisco for a little getaway. While we were there we went to a Raiders game and guess what...they actually won! It was a great weekend!

For Halloween Spencer was Karate Kid, Lexi was a dog, and Tyson was a lion.

Mike came up with our costumes for a Halloween party. I thought it was pretty creative.

My family was all together for Thanksgiving this year, except Heidi because baby number 3 was due in January. She made us these cute hair bows. Even Jake looks good! (He is such a good sport. I guess this is what happens when you have all sisters!)

Is It Really 2011?

I was just thinking the other day, "Is my car really 12 years old (1999 Honda)...have I really been a nurse for 10 years...did I really graduate almost 15 years ago...am I REALLY turning 33 this year?" Time goes by so quickly and sometimes I am just trying to keep up? Well I guess it is time to play catch up, as always!

What a fun summer we have had, and not doing anything really special, but just hanging out and playing lots. We went swimming, camping, boating, fishing, biking, hiking, running, and played with cousins and friends a lot! Here are some fun pictures of our great summer!

For the first few months after Tyson was born I thought to myself, "3 kids, this isn't so bad. I don't understand what everyone is talking about." Well, the last couple months I feel like I have just been spinning my wheels. I have the "sign up for everything" syndrome so I guess it is mostly my fault. But you know me, I hate to miss out on the party! My kids keep me busy, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Here are a few pictures of the fun activities we have done the last couple months. The best thing is we took a family vacation to San Diego and got to go to the beach, Legoland, and Sea World. What a blast!

I took my kids skiing at Alta a couple weeks ago and we had the best time! I wasn't quite sure how it would work out with 2 beginners, but I kept Lexi between my legs most of the time (except when she wanted me to let go and I would have to hurry to catch up to her), and Spencer just figured it out and did great! I was so proud of them and they can't wait to go again!

We had great Christmas. We were so glad that Santa found our house this year. After Mike and I threatening coal about a million times, the kids were glad they were good enough to get some fun presents. I couldn't help but think how blessed we are to have so much. I am especially grateful for our wonderful families. 2010 is going to be a great year!

So I really want to be on top of my life this year, and one way I can do that is to stay on top of my blog. Do you really think it will happen? I also set a resolution to get out of bed by 7:15am and the next day after I wrote it down in my journal I slept in until 8:15am. Bummer! It sure felt good though! Anyway, here is a little video I thought Ellen especially would enjoy. Our little wrestler-just like his dad!

So we had a little scare a few weeks ago. Tyson developed a little temperature so I took him to the doctors and since he was only 3 weeks old they sent us to the ER at Primary Childrens hospital. They ended up finding viral meningitis (sounds scary, but it the bacterial form that is really scary) and the croupe virus. The crazy thing is that his only symptoms were a low fever and grunting. His oxygen also kept dropping and maintaining in the 70's so we ended up staying there for almost 4 days, but he is home now happy and healthy and we are so relieved.

Tyson Kenneth Lee was born September 27th at 8:22am. He weighed 8lbs. 3oz. and was 21 inches long. He is healthy, happy, and we all love him so much! Thanks Carolee for taking these totally cute pictures!

Here we are in the hospital. Spencer and Lexi were so excited to finally meet their new little brother Tyson. Spencer would hold him all day if he could. Lexi didn't want to hold him at first, but now that we are home she is the best little helper-picking out his clothes and getting me diapers and wipes. They both love to give little Tyson LOTS of love. Mike and I are so grateful to have him in our home!

So I must admit (although I am sure it is no surprise) I am not very good at this blogging thing because I am so behind. I decided since my baby is due in a couple weeks I better do some updating now, so here we go. Here are some fun pictures of our great summer!

Fun at Lagoon. I couldn't go on any rides, but Spencer and Lexi didn't care. The 2 of them ran from ride to ride all day long, and this one they rode 4 times!

Mike and his brothers ran the Hobblecreek 1/2 marathon. They all finished and did a great job!

First day of school. Lexi just started preschool and of course wouldn't let me walk her to school on her first day. I just had to stand in the driveway and watch. She is so independent. Spencer started Kindergarten this year. He likes it except for the every day thing. I like having the break every day though. They are both growing so fast!

Our Kitchen is Finished!!!

The finished product! We still have some exterior stuff to do, but the inside has been done since and end of July. Every day I walk into my kitchen I feel spoiled. I love all the room we have and I think it turned out excellent! Mike basically designed the whole thing and I think he did a GREAT job!

New Kitchen Update

So Mike and I had a crazy idea years ago to knock out the east wall to our house and add on to our kitchen. Well that crazy idea has become reality. I forgot to take a before picture, but here are some progress pictures. It is really coming along. Luckily I have the greatest husband who made a little kitchen for us in the laundry room. He hung some old cabinets, moved down the stove, installed a sink, and even our table fits. Considering everything it hasn't been that bad, except for all the dust I have to vacuum off of everything in the current kitchen every morning. Plus we have kind of gotten use to having the fridge in the living room. Grab a spoon, a thing of ice cream, turn on your favorite movie and you're good to go!

Lexi has been talking about having a princess party for about 3 months. We told all the girls that came to the party to dress up in their princess dresses. Lexi also got some new princess dresses from her Grandma Hobbs. What a perfect day!

Catch Up Time!!!

So blogging is not at the top of my priority list, but here I am going to try to catch up a little. First of all I am expecting baby #3 at the end of September. It is a boy and we are really excited! I felt pretty crummy (is that a good enough excuse of why I am so behind?), but I am finally feeling better.

Should I really claim these kids?

Spencer turned 5 and won his wrestling tournament.

I went and visited Heidi in Kansas City, by myself, no kids!!! It was a GREAT trip!

We had a great Easter. What's Easter without a ham dinner, so we had Dave and our friends Bryce, Carolee and Danika over for dinner. We are so grateful for our family and Savior Jesus Christ.

You know it's officially spring when we dust off the pop-up camper and head out for our first camping trip of the season. We went to Moab for the weekend and had a great time. We stayed at the KOA which was a good thing because when we pulled out the flashlights all of them were dead. Not very prepared campers, huh! Well, we hooked up the electricity and turned on our light in the camper. We also bought a little heater which kept us toasty all night. Here we are hiking up to Delicate Arch. Spencer hiked the whole thing and Lexi pretty much road the whole thing. No matter how many times I see this amazing site it still takes my breath away.

Spencer caught this lizard and carried it around with him for about an hour. We have now named him the lizard tamer.

Our January

January was not an easy month for us. Mike's dad passed away on January 20th from complications related to pulmonary fibrosis. He was hospitalized the beginning of January so we spent almost every day there for about 12 days until he passed away. It was a hard experience, but we also had many spiritual and special moments that we are so grateful for. Here are a few pictures of the funeral.

This Thanksgiving we were at my parents house in Heber. It was fun to have everyone there. We decided to be daring and take a whole family picture. After a few hours of trying to figure out the right color scheme, I think it turned out pretty good. Here are a few pictures from our successful day!

I have decided that Halloween is my favorite time of year. I told my mom this the other day and she said that it has always been my favorite time of year. It use to be just because of the candy, but now I just love the weather, the colors, and of course all the Halloween activities! I had way too much fun making Spencer's costume this year. When Mike saw the boots he said that I had officially gone overboard. Spencer loved his costume so it was worth it!

Annual Jackson Hole Vacation

Every fall we go to Jackson Hole with our good friends the Freeman's. Our goal is to see lots of wildlife and we did this year. We haven't seen a bear for a couple years, but we did have a bull moose cross the street right in front of us which was pretty amazing! It is such a beautiful place especially in the fall. Every time we go I cannot help but feel so grateful for the amazing earth Heavenly Father has blessed us with!

Enjoying September

Spencer is in preschool again this year. His preschool is right across the street which I love. Convenience is key for me. He loves it and is learning new things every day. Lexi is in a little play group with a couple friends. It makes her feel like she gets to go to school too.

Mike, his buddy Scott, and I rode the Logan to Jackson Hole ride as a relay team. I found out I was riding about 2 days before the race, but I was really excited to ride. I did 40 miles and Mike and Scott each rode 80 miles. The weather was great and we had a ton of fun.

GO MIKE GO!!!

While Mike and I were in Jackson Hole for our race, Spencer and Lexi stayed in Logan with some family. They captured monarch caterpillars and put them in jars. It was so neat because we got to watch them form coccoons and then come out as butterflies. They were so beautiful and Spencer and Lexi has so much fun watching the process. Here is Spencer with one of the butterflies.

Montana

Thanks to my good friends that remind me that I haven't blogged in about forever here I am trying to get caught up. Let's get started.

Over the 4th of July our family and John and Mel and their family went camping in Montana. We stayed at the most beautiful place called Emerald Lake. There is nothing like Montana scenery. Absolutely amazing!!!

Say Cheese!

A prime example of how well Spencer listens! His older (and bigger) cousins kept jumping from the shore of the lake to a large rock out in the lake. Well, we told Spencer multiple times not to jump, but I guess he didn't hear us (selective hearing) and tried to make the jump and landed right in the water. Right after his Uncle John pulled him out he yelled, "That was awesome!" Then he realized how cold he was and it wasn't so awesome. Some lady at the top let us borrow her sweatshirt and I carried him down most of the way until he could warm up.

1/2 IRONWOMAN!!!

I have been training all winter for a 1/2 ironman triathlon which I finally did this last weekend. I finished, but boy was it grueling. It can be summed up by saying freezing water and VERY strong wind gust THE WHOLE TIME!!! The water was SOOOO cold and the wind was going against the current. I survived the 1.2 mile swim, barely, and then had to have someone help peel off my wetsuit because my hands were frozen. I was so excited to get on my bike to warm up until I hit the 30mph head wind like a brick wall. The 56 mile bike ride almost did me in since about 70% of it was into a head wind. I was actually looking forward to running as long as I could get off my bike. The run was actually the easiest part of the whole race, as easy as 13.1 miles can be. It took me almost 7 1/2 hours to complete, but I finished. According to Spencer I won and that is all that matters. I must say I was pretty proud of myself!

Our sweet little Alexis turned 2 on May 12th, and believe it or not she is still sweet. She loves babies, and is a cute little mom to them. She loves to snuggle with her mom and dad, which we love! We can't believe our baby is getting so big. We love to watch her learn and grow every day!

Our First Time Out With The Camper!

A couple weeks ago and packed up the camper and headed down to Goblin Valley (just west of Moab). You also drive right by and San Rafael Swell which is an incredible sight! It was so amazing! The campsite in Goblin Valley was actually full so we found a little place to camp right up next to these rock cliffs. Spencer spent the weekend throwing rocks and killing Decepticons, and Lexi just ran around throwing and eating dirt. Saturday we went into Goblin Valley which was such a neat place. It's this whole valley full of these fun rock formations that look like little goblins or mushrooms. We all just ran around climbing on the rocks and playing hide-and-go-seek. There's not a tree in sight, but the weather was beautiful. Our new little camper made it such a comfortable weekend. Saturday night it got pretty windy so we brought the stove inside, cooked our dinner, ate at our little table, and played games on Mike's phone. We had so much fun just being together as a family and enjoying this beautiful earth we live on. We can't wait to go camping again!

We decided it was about time to take the training wheels off Spencer's bike and he did GREAT! Starting and stopping is still a little tricky, but he is really getting the hang of it. He really made his mom and dad proud.

Lexi was a great little cheerleader as she watched her "Buddy" (that's what she calls Spencer) learn to ride his bike. She kept cheering, "Go Buddy, Go Buddy!"

Spencer Turned 4!!!

Spencer is now 4 and loving it. In fact he loves to tell everyone that his name is Spencer Michael Lee the Stud and he is 4. He had a Transformers birthday party and all of his best friends were there. Grandpa and Grandma Hobbs bought him an Optimus Prime that is now his new best buddy. He is a great boy and loves to help his mom and dad every day!

Just a little recap on the last few months with Spencer. We have had to instacare visits, but he is still in one piece. The black eye is from when he fell into the corner of the coffee table just before Christmas, but according to the x-ray nothing was broken. Then he tripped and fell on the corner of a paint can and got 2 stitches. Every day he has a new skinned knee or elbow, but thats our boy!

Since I have been trying to get my blog going for about 3 months I thought I would do a little recap of last year: just a few highlights!

Mike graduated from Utah State University with his MBA in May 2007.

Summer Fun!

We went camping a few times up American Fork Canyon. I have never seen 2 little kids get so dirty so fast, but they sure had fun!

Mike and I went to Kauai for 9 days in October to celebrate Mike's graduation and our 5 year anniversary. We spent one day hiking the Na Pali coast. It was AMAZING!

We have had tons of snow this month which has been lots of fun. Spencer loves to snowboard (just like his dad) and sled, and Lexi just likes to eat it. We had a great Christmas and New Years, and we had tons of fun with all our family.
